Matthew Jones is a Torres Strait Islander accountant, entrepreneur and father. He has had a diverse range of career experiences starting with the Royal Australian Navy, professional services, banking and industrial sales.
Currently, he is leading national business development for Australia’s largest Indigenous industrial and safety supplier Nogard Australia. Which involves pitching for business at a C-suite level.
Matthew is passionate about providing opportunities for Indigenous Australians in business and for demonstrating how a culturally diverse workforce can outperform its peers.
He holds a Bachelor of International Business and Arts from Griffith University, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Queensland and is a Chartered Accountant.
Outside of work Matthew spends time with his young family, writing fiction and coaching rugby union.
